The Holocaust Memorial Center of the Jews from Macedonia will be dedicated in Skopje on March 10, 2011.
The Center is multimedia in character, consists of a few sections and will be opened in a few stages. On March 10 the museum complex will be opened, which consists of an exhibition on the life of Jews from Macedonia and the Balkans.
The Memorial Center will have a variety of functions. It will be a museum and an educational, research and cultural center, and will be involved in exchanges with other museums and centers.
Various activities are scheduled before the opening of the Center, such as the exhibition of photographs on March 8 in the Museum of the City of Bitola and the Museum of the City of Stip, as well as a commemorative session in the Macedonian Academy of Sciences and Arts.
The Dedication Ceremony will be attended by the Prime Minister and the President of the Republic of Macedonia, high representatives of Israel, as well as representatives of Jewish museums and communities worldwide.
