The Anachnu (we in Hebrew) Youth Club is for young Jewish Community members aged 18-26. The club has a management body comprised of a president and coordinators.
The Club gathers at regular meetings to discuss issues related to the work and activities of the club, as well as youth participation in holidays and other events organised by the Community. At times the youths prepare and share Shabbat dinner together.
The youths take part in the preparation of the Ani Ve Ata youth magazine, writing articles on various topics of Jewish life and traditions. Furthermore, the Youth Club took over the editing of the 11 March newsletter.
Some members of the Youth Club work with the children in the King David Children’s Corner every Sunday.
In 2000, Anahnu carried out Project David 2000 – the restoration of the Jewish cemetery in Bitola – together with students from all over the world.
The Youth Club is a member of EUJS (European Union of Jewish Students), WUJS (the World Union of Jewish Students) and the Gesher Weinberg Region. As such, it participates in the events of those organizations and contributes to the preservation and advancement of Jewish culture and tradition.
